If you're a realtor and want to learn how to enhance your client's lives, and improve your own bottom line, this class will be invaluable! I am a Native Texan, born and raised in SE Texas, and a retired US Marine. After completing my active service, I transitioned into mortgage lending, and was blown away by a few things; first, how little Veterans really know about their VA Home Loan Entitlements, and second, How many of us are not taking advantage of it! I run into it almost every day actually. What has become equally clear, is that all to often, a borrower's realtor is advising them against using their VA Home Loan Entitlement, and listing on the listing side of things to ignore the offers. In speaking with many realtors, I have found that it usually comes down to 1 of the following 4 reasons: 1) They avoid marketing to Veterans because they believe that they are somehow substandard borrowers, and therefore not worth their time. 2) They believe that a VA Home Loan requires much more effort than is worth their time. 3) They are basing their perceptions on outdated/incorrect information about the loan program. 4) They don't realize how much more money they could earn from a VA Home Loan transaction. I have made it my mission as a Veteran and Residential Mortgage Loan Originator to educate Realtors and their Veteran clients on the benefits of using a VA Home Loan, help both access and capitalize on the homebuyer's entitlement, and fight for each of them in the home buying process! I am happy to accept Matt McPayne's invitation to speak. He is another Native Texas Veteran and hometown success story. After serving our country in the US Navy, he returned home and began his second career with the USPS. Now, he's doing even more for our home town through his business, McPayne Real Estate, LLC. I feel humbled and lucky to have an esteemed Military-Mom and Vidor's own Mayor, Misty Songe, invest her time in this endeavor. She will be present to speak and provide insight into our community leaders' commitment to the Veterans whom call it home, and the real estate professionals that serve them. It is an honor to have both on board and engaged in this fight! If you are taking care of Veteran homebuyers, this will be a great update on recent changes to the VA Home Loan.
