The APT training program is designed to show guides and other interested people different ways to present the great city of Philadelphia The Association of Philadelphia Tour Guides (APT) is offering a Tour Guide Training program to allow interested people to take tours with Master and Certified guides who will take you through several neighborhoods in and around Center City. Who Would Benefit? Individuals who are on the front lines of interpreting Philadelphia’s history, culture and people to the general public, as well as people who are simply interested in our fascinating city. There is always more to learn. Companies / Institutions who have staff, volunteers, guides or docents who are in the roles described above. The more they know, the better they can interpret your organization’s mission. What Does it Cost? Full Program Individuals: $80, includes a 2022 APT membership Corporate / Institutional: $150, includes three free participants and 2022 APT membership Individual Tours: $10 each Schedule Wednesday, November 10 7:00 pm - Zoom Session - Techniques of Tour Guiding, The Business of Guiding (free) Thursday, November 11 10:30 - 12:30 - Old City Tour 1:30 - 3:30 - Delaware River Waterfront Tour Friday, November 12 10:30 - 12:30 - Independence Park Tour 1:30 - 3:30 - Society Hill Tour Saturday, November 13 9:00 - 11:00 - Avenue of the Arts to Washington Square West Tour 12: - 2:00 - Avenue of Freedom Tour 3:00 - 5:00 - Chinatown Tour Sunday, November 14 10:30 - 12:30 - City Hall to Rittenhouse Square Tour 1:30 - 3:30 - Ben Franklin Parkway Tour
