Over the last 17 years Operation Turkey has remained a 100% volunteer organization without a single paid employee. We are more than 13,000 nationwide volunteers strong working together to ensure everyone receives a warm, delicious meal on Thanksgiving Day. The goal in the greater Houston area is to feed 8,000 people who need a great meal and warm fellowship. Turkey Tailgate – First we smoke and grill the BIRDS! Wednesday November 24th, 7 am - till we are finished (usually around 6 pm.) Held at 4 different locations:

*Not for small children due to cooking equipment.
Operation Turkey – Next, we deliver the BIRDS! Thursday November 25th, 7 am – approximately 2 pm). This occurs at two different locations (VFW and American Legion Halls) where we will plate and stage the food along with the delivery teams.
