HELP WANTED The Downtown Bend Business Association is looking for a few community-minded individuals to join our staff to make sure that Downtown Bend is looking its best every day! JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Downtown Bend Business Association (DBBA) Maintenance and Operations Manager, these positions assist with the day-to-day custodial, grounds, gardening, and maintenance activities in Downtown Bend. Candidates must be dependable and able to work independently. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Year-Around Daily Cleaning, sidewalk sweeping, and graffiti & debris removal in the Downtown Bend district. Pressure washing, leaf blowing, banner installation, décor installation, and other duties as assigned. Summer Delivery and installation, daily watering, fertilizing, and care of the 100+ flower baskets and 50+ planters. Winter Snow removal from all sidewalks in the Downtown Bend district. SCHEDULE AND PAY Pay starts at $15, with the possibility of an increase after training and 90-day review. Shifts can range around the clock, and the right candidate will feel comfortable coming in (at times) as early as 1am. Average 15-20 hours per week. Paid monthly on the 5th of every month. THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL Be dependable Enjoy working closely with the rest of the DBBA team Have good communication skills Be invested in the health of Downtown Bend Be flexible Be able to work alone and be self-directed REQUIREMENTS Must be able to walk long distances on foot Must be able to hold arms overhead for an extended time period Must be able to work with a tall ladder Must be able to lift 50lbs Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record Must be added to company insurance Must be able to drive ATV (or feel comfortable being trained to do so) If you are interested, please email your resume.
