Gameface Winter Jam Camp! GAMEFACE 4:13 TRAINING ACADEMY Mission: To train young men and women physically, mentally, and spiritually in the game of basketball. Our goal is to develop young LEADERS who will be ready to take on the game of life and make an impact in THE WORLD. Why Game Face 4:13 Training Academy? Game Face 4:13 Training Academy is a strategic camp that exists to develop both basketball skill and ethical character within young people in the Jacksonville community. Game Face 4:13 Training Academy trains on all three levels: PHYSICAL: Health-Sports Training MENTAL: Education-Life and Career Skills SPIRITUAL: Spirit-We incorporate biblical principals into our camp -------Physical------ Our camp incorporates four main aspects of instruction in training sessions: 1. Technical elements 2. Physical performance 3. Game situations 4. Mental conditioning Technical Elements: Footwork, Technique, Form and shooting drills Physical Performance: Strengthening and Power Drills Game Situations: Live Scrimmages and Games Mental Conditioning: Conditioning drills that develop mental toughness Staff and coaches: The staff of Game Face 4:13 are there to teach, develop, and encourage. Our coaches are well-trained and enthusiastic trainers. Our goal is to push young men and women to the next level in the game of basketball The coaches and volunteers have been screened and reviewed the code of conduct and policies. -------Mental------- In our camp we develop life and career skills by educating kids through our sports-themed curriculum. Kids will listen to mentors speak and have an interactive classroom assignment to complete. Kids will work on: Listening skills; Reading and Writing skills; Teamwork & Problem Solving Skills; Communication & Presentations Skills. ------Spiritual------- We incorporate biblical principles into our coaching, teaching, and leadership model. What will players do each day? 1. Train hard in the game of basketball 2. Listen to mentors speak 3. Homework assignments 4. Public speaking assignments 5. Fun Activities, Service Projects, and Ice breaker games 6.
