Metal guitarist looking for a band

Hello, I am an electric guitar player, and I am looking for band members to start a new band or to join an existing band. Style-wise, I would like to do something in the metal/hard rock vein. Preferably, something that is both intensely melodic and heavy and that has progressive elements at times. I'm very open to mixing many different metal and rock sub-genres to meld something different. Also, I sing as well and would like to do some backup singing and harmony vocals, though not as the main singer. I have been in a couple of bands before, and have played a decent amount of shows in the past. My musical influences include bands like: Iron Maiden, Killswitch Engage, Affiance, Mastodon, Thrice, August Burns Red, War of Ages, Haste the Day, In Flames, Trivium, The Human Abstract, Polaris, Phinehas, No Bragging Rights, Light This City, Unleash the Archers, Intervals, Times of Grace, and more. A little about me: I am 30 years old, have played music (different instruments) for the majority of my life, and have a huge passion for music, especially metal. I have reliable transportation, a good guitar/amp setup, and a passion to play, and I am excited to find some like-minded musicians who want to create something new, put in the work when needed, and do something ambitious and fun. I have a good amount of material written and some rough guitar demos available upon request. If you're interested, lets meet up and jam sometime soon.
