Now Interviewing Professional & Knowledgeable Equipment Fleet Manager G&C Excavators is looking for a professional, experienced Heavy Equipment Manager immediately. G&C Excavators has several job sites across the greater Austin area. The Heavy Equipment Manager will be in charge of the management and maintenance of the company's heavy equipment. Responsibilities and Duties: • Supervises maintenance/repair functions for the company equipment. • Makes arrangements when repairs should be outsourced and communicates with vendors concerning cost, schedule, changes, and completion dates for repairs. Maintains constant communication with management by providing cost estimates, repair status, and completion dates. • Oversees maintenance and repair of equipment, both at the yard and at the project sites. • Ensures that all equipment is completely inspected and malfunctions or damages are documented and repaired. • Establishes maintains and monitors preventative maintenance schedules on equipment. • Participates in the equipment evaluation process to determine buy/sell needs. • Develops and maintains records of repairs and maintenance on equipment. • Reviews for approval of all equipment related invoices and works directly with vendors to resolve billing errors and/or warranty claims. • Maintains positive working relationships with all other departments. Qualifications: • At least 5 years experience in mechanics on electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems • Strong knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of heavy construction equipment • Works with a sense of urgency • Must be able to process paperwork related to equipment repairs/warranties • High level of attention to detail and organization • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks • Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus WHY G&C EXCAVATORS? - Excellent Pay & Benefits - Fast-Paced Challenging Work - Opportunity for Career Growth & Advancement For Employment consideration please reply via email with a current copy of your resume/relevant work history and call 512-610-6642.
