United World Schoolers presents a FUN self-directed art-making class for students ages 6-13 in Fayetteville, GA. Great Lakes Family Services in collaboration with United WorldSchoolers presents a self-directed art-making class for students ages 6-13 who are attending public, private or homeschools. Offered Wednesdays from 1-3pm at Palette’s Fayetteville. In this fun and innovative class students will explore painting. Each project is developed to strengthen arts-based, inquiry-based, decision-making, autonomy, and motor skills,…Techniques such as dots painting, using shapes as cookie cutters will be tried.Students will be encouraged to use the creative process as they create work individual to them, and be given opportunities to engage in constructive discussions about their work. We'll cover major current events in the art world, have opportunities to showcase our work, and discuss opportunities to see artwork by established artists up close in person.Parents, this isn't a drop off service. This class is meant to be fun and creatively engaging for the kids. If your student is prone to wandering off or needs more constant redirection and support, then your help is absolutely needed. Thank you. Please have kids dress in clothes that can get messy! I will have aprons. United World Schoolers keeps our class topics fun and exploratory so please allow students to wear something that can get dirty. All sales for this class are final. Snacks provided.
