Celebrate Native American Heritage Month by watching Hunt for the Wilder People, directed by Taika Waititi. In collaboration with South Carolina Indian Affairs Commission, we have scheduled two screenings of The Hunt for the Wilderpeople. One will be at the Waccamaw Tribal Grounds and one in the Russell House Theater at UofSC. There will be Indigenous artist vendors selling their wares in the lobby before the screening. The Collaborative was developed to foster compassion through the civic renewal that comes from on-going conversations on campuses, in classrooms, and in communities. MISSION: To foster courageous conversations that are people focused to build a systemic response to injustice. VISION: Lasting systemic change from honest communication. • To increase the number of voices speaking and spaces where they can be heard (facilitation)• To be deliberate in our teaching and facilitation of discourses where lasting changes can be made (education) • To build bridges between sectors (connection).
