Join us for a night of food, drinks, and being filled with the holiday spirit all while supporting kids in the Ozarks! Please join us for the 34th annual Festival of Trees on Friday, November 19 for a night of food, drinks, entertainment, and being filled with the true holiday spirit of giving featuring world renowned SMSU Lady Bear and 2001 WNBA Rookie of the Year, Jackie Stiles. Enjoy premium Mother's Brewing Company beer, wine, festive cocktails, a seated dinner, and live entertainment from the internationally acclaimed acapella group the Missouri State University Beartones. This year's event is critical to supporting the high quality, in-person education that serves thousands of our area youth depend on from the Discovery Center each and every day. The Discovery Center now serve 130 children each day in Pre-K through 8th grade formal learning environments with a majority of the students attending at no cost to their families. Discovery Center of Springfield (DCS) is an interactive, hands-on science museum committed to inspiring people of all ages with a life-long love of learning and an appreciation of the world and our place in it.
