Family's Dog Perishes In House Fire In Tampa: Video

TAMPA, FL — A family's dog perished in a fire that enveloped a home in the 2000 block of East Broad Street Tuesday. Tampa Fire Rescue was called to the home at 8:33 p.m. and found the single-story home on fire with heavy smoke and flames coming from the west side of the house. All the residents were able to make it out of the house but a dog was left inside. Firefighters found the dog and tried to revive it but were unsuccessful. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
