Join United By Blue and Public Lands for a cleanup of the Monongahela River in Pittsburgh! Join United By Blue, Public Lands, Allegheny Cleanways, and Friends of the Riverfront for a Community Cleanup of the Monongahela River! Meet us at the South Side Marina, adjacent to South Shore Riverfront Park, where we'll pick up trash from the Three Rivers Heritage Trail and riverbanks of the Monongahela. Thanks to our partnership with Public Lands, all volunteers will receive a free Resuable DIY Cleanup Kit and t-shirt at the cleanup. All other cleanup supplies will be provided by United By Blue, including gloves, bags, and safety materials. Please wear closed toed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty. Please bring your own reusable water bottle filled - we'll have water to refill as needed. Details to note: United By Blue will adhere to all local regulations pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic. This event is fully outdoors and efforts will be made to keep volunteer groups spread out. Please bring a mask with you for close proximity situations. Our reusable cleanup supplies are industrially cleaned between uses, but we welcome volunteers to bring their own supplies if they feel more comfortable. All volunteers who register for the cleanup through this link will receive an email the week of the cleanup with details on parking, weather, what to bring, and all necessary details. This cleanup is part of a Blue Friday partnership between United By Blue and Public Lands. From 11/26/21 - 12/10/21, we're encouraging our employees, customers, and volunteers to get outside with friends and family and complete a cleanup in the time of year traditionally known for consumption.
