Press release from the City of Orlando: September 15, 2021 Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and the Orlando City Council Proclaims September 15 through October 15 as Hispanic Heritage Month in the City of Orlando   WHAT:   Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and the Orlando City Council has proclaimed September 15 through October 15, 2021 as Hispanic Heritage Month in the City of Orlando.   Hispanic Heritage Month is observed each year throughout the country to recognize the culture and traditions of U.S. residents who trace their roots to Spain, Mexico, and the Spanish speaking nations of Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.  The theme of this year's Hispanic Heritage Month is "Esperanza: a Celebration of Hispanic Heritage and Hope."
