Here are the top stories today in Miami: 1. Record industry executive Steve Stoute is among the investors who purchased a waterfront Miami Beach estate in September for $28.1 million. Buyers from high-tax markets have continued to flock to waterfront properties in South Florida since the pandemic began. (The Real Deal) 2. The Broward County School Board voted Tuesday to no longer require face coverings from high school students, staff and visitors. The school board pointed to the positivity rate falling as the reasoning for the change. (WSVN) 3. The Miami Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) is seeking to buy around 2,000 acres for its planned Kendall Parkway corridor, a 14-mile transportation project with an estimated cost of $1 billion. Brightline has unveiled a new ride share service called Brightline+ with a fleet of Teslas, golf carts, and buses taking riders from station to station. A new arrest report reveals a possible motive in the murder of 18-year-old Dwight 'DJ' Grant, who was a senior at Miramar High School before his death.
