Come and enjoy spooky stories from the residents of Old Alabama Town The Landmarks Foundation welcomes the public to enjoy spooky stories from the residents of Old Alabama Town. Meet William Lowndes Yancey, the man Abraham Lincoln held responsible for the Civil War. Speak with Dr. Duncan about the horrors of 19th century disease and run from the ghost of Eliza Lucas. Each night will have 4 tours starting at 6:00pm, with the last going off at 7:30pm. Each tour is about 45 minutes and will walk through Old Alabama Town, meeting each resident and hearing their story of life and death in 19th Century Alabama. This a family friendly event, but is rated PG-13. Gates open at 5:30pm. There is limited space on each tour and we will not be selling tickets at the door. Refreshments will be available at Lucas Tavern before and after each tour. The Landmarks Foundation of Montgomery is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 1968 to foster, encourage and lead the historic preservation movement in Montgomery, Alabama. Landmarks oversees Old Alabama Town and works as an independent entity on community preservation and restoration projects.
