Hunter said that a faculty member has been placed on paid leave pending a complete investigation.
Concord-Carlisle High School said it is conducting a complete investigation and does not tolerate inappropriate language.
The employee involved has not been identified.
"Our students' safety, health, and mental health are our top priority; we continue to value inclusion and strive to create a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for all," said Hunter in the statement.
