Hello! I’m currently looking for artists, entrepreneurs, apparel designers, weavers, graphic designers, textile artists, photographers and other makers for studio space share in East Oakland. The studio has open floor space currently occupied with a leather handbag designer and apparel designer/candle maker. This communal art space features open high ceilings, ample lighting, updated outlets and is recently renovated with utilities included. Two spaces available: 10'x16.5' workspace - Monthly rate $350 12'x16.5' front retail/workspace - Monthly rate $375 Studio space includes: 1. Electricity -- dedicated 110 volt wall outlets with USB. 2. Common area amenities: washroom, back room with fridge, microwave and coffee/tea cart. 3. Studio is built with full city permits up to the current building code, which means safety and legitimacy with insurance to back it up; every maker/artist has the option to get a business license and operate their business out of the studio (e.g. direct sales). 4. WiFi 5. Security - 24 hour monitoring of facilities. Studio is located in the up and coming Melrose district south of Mills College in Oakland on Fairfax Avenue.
