Description
I've have backyard chickens, and unfortunately rats are drawn to the smell. There aren't a lot of rodent control methods that don't pose a risk to either my animals or wild ones that I don't want to target. I can't keep a cat, and my dogs are very willing to chase rats but aren't especially skilled at catching them.
I'd like to have someone come out with a ratting dog or several in the evening when the rats are most active on the ground and just reduce the population. I'm fine with dogs in training, as long as they're solid on their recall and their handler is experienced. The chickens would be locked up safely in their coop, and our dogs would be inside the house.
