AUSTIN, TX — About 3,500 Austin Energy customers were without power Wednesday morning after severe storms and heavy winds knocked power out in the area. Around 5 a.m., a band of thunderstorms rolled into the region, prompting a severe thunderstorm Watch for all Central Texas counties. The Milwood areas has around 1,300 customers without power. As of 10 a.m., North Shoal Creek has around 541 customers without power and Walnut Ridge has around 514 customers without power. Bluebonnet Electric said on Twitter its crews have restored power to around 1,300 customers near Manor.
