Traffic Crash On 5 Freeway Injures At Least One, Prompts SigAlert

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — A multi-vehicle crash on the California State route 5 freeway traveling north injured at least one and stalled traffic on the freeway Tuesday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol reported. The incident took place in Laguna Hills, near the La Paz Road off-ramp. Three vehicles were involved in the crash and at least one person was injured, the CHP said. A SigAlert that initially shut down four lanes on the Interstate 5 freeway has since been lifted, and traffic is slowly thinning out. The condition of the injured person or persons is not known as of this report.
