Description
CONCORD, NH — The city of Concord is reporting a water main break on the northbound side of Fort Eddy Road.
Just before 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Concord General Services as well as Concord firefighters and police were sent to the area for reports of water in the street. The water main issue was reported not long after a stabbing incident occurred nearby in Fort Eddy Plaza.
A section of the road, just north of the traffic lights, is closed to traffic as water crews work to repair the leak and restore the road. The leak, the city said, was detected on an 8-inch cement-lined cast iron water main. Water has been shut off to 75 and 77 Fort Eddy Road, to complete necessary repairs, the city said, which mostly impacts the Panera Bread and Verizon Wireless plaza.
"Crews are working to complete repairs and reopen the road as soon as possible," the city stated in a post online. "There is no estimated time of completion at this time. Please seek an alternate route and avoid the area if possible."
