MURRIETA, CA — A company new to Murrieta is looking to construct a convenience store, gas station and carwash along Murrieta Hot Springs Road, just east of Interstate 215, and the public has a chance to weigh in. Beyond Food Mart Inc. is requesting approval from the city of a development plan, conditional use permit, and a minor conditional use permit to build and operate an eight-island gas station, a 7,274-square-foot convenience store with a drive-thru, a Type 20 ABC license for off-site sale of beer and wine, and an attached 1,893 square-foot drive-thru carwash. The development would also feature 31,538-square-feet of landscaping and 34 parking spaces. The project would be situated on 2.4 acres of a 4.7-acre site on Murrieta Hot Springs Road at the northeast corner of Jackson Avenue. Access to the proposed development would be via two 40-foot driveways along highly trafficked Murrieta Hot Springs Road. The business proposes to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and would include 12 full-time employees, according to city documents.
