Description

Press release from Portland Public Schools: September 30, 2021 Dear PPS Families, Thank you to all the parents and community members that volunteer their time to support PPS schools and students! During the 2021-22 school year, the district is allowing essential volunteers, at the discretion of the school principal. Per Oregon's COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement for Teachers and School Staff, all volunteers are required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination before volunteering in person at a PPS school or facility in person. In order to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19, volunteers must also follow PPS  COVID-19 safety protocols.  On September 22, we sent an email survey to over 19,000 existing volunteers in our database asking them to complete the survey by October 15. We will use those survey responses to update volunteer records, and we will be expiring volunteers that do not respond to the survey. Expired and new potential volunteers should apply at pps.net/volunteer. Thank you for your support! Sincerely, Robyn FaraoneDirector, Strategic Partnerships This press release was produced by Portland Public Schools. The views expressed here are the author's own.
