Wiregrass Living History and the 63rd Signal Battalion, U.S. Reenactors present the third annual WW II Weekend in Lakeland, GA. The event is based at Camp Patten, BSA and will feature a two day immersive tactical revolving around the advance of Kampfgruppe Peiper during the Ardennes Campaign of December 1944. Due to logistical concerns, this year's event will be an immersive tactical for reenactors only with NO SPECTATORS. While this is an exciting change, we hope to include the public again next year. Reenactor Onsite Registration begins Thursday afternoon at 3:00 pm and ends at 8:00 am Saturday morning. Immersive Historic Scenarios begin Friday at 11:00 am and continue until 5:00 pm Saturday. A period variety camp show will take place starting at 6:30 pm Saturday night. Volunteer acts among participants encouraged. Breakfast will be provided Saturday and Sunday as well as Supper Saturday night. Bathrooms, running water and showers are available in the campground.
A registration fee of $25 will be required of all pre-registered reenactors to cover the costs of the tactical. The fee will be paid upon arrival at the event. Walk-on registration will be $30 so PLEASE pre-register. Pre-registration ends Wednesday 1/6. For more information visit our facebook event page at https://www.facebook.com/events/916244455538647/. This event will follow all CDC recommendations and Georgia Department of Public Health Guidelines concerning Covid-19.
