Here are the top stories in Mobile today: Mobile County Public School System's superintendent Chresal Threadgill announced this week that masks will no longer be required in schools as of Nov. 1. Although they are highly recommended, masks will be optional due to Mobile County no longer being in "high threat" with positive COVID cases. (NBC15 News) The relocation of commercial airline services received $30 million in economic backing from Mobile city officials. The new airport, expected to open in 2024, will be the first international airport in Mobile and is also expected to lower airfare costs for passengers.
