Sweet 3-year-old Bull Terrier mix in need of forever home

I'm currently fostering this incredible pup named River for the rescue Canine Humane Network, and I'm really hoping to find his forever home soon. Before bringing him to our home, he sat in a shelter for EIGHT MONTHS, which is baffling because he's a really good guy. We suspect it has to do with his fur color, suspected breed, and the fact that he's not a puppy. River is house and crate trained, great with people and dogs, medium-sized, medium energy, walks nicely on a leash, and is extremely affectionate and cuddly! He's a stocky 50lbs, has a silly and curious personality, and is super handsome (he's gotten many compliments on walks)! He's a loving and fun boy who deserves a great home.
