Drummer Looking For A Band

Description
Is your band looking for a solid country or classic rock drummer, someone who understands country music, from the older classics to new country, and classic rock from the 60's into the late 70's? What I offer as a drummer: • I am a drummer, always been a drummer, didn't start on guitar or anything else so drumming is what I know. I have a good understanding of meter and dynamics. Sometimes, less is more. • I have played Rock/ Classic Rock, Country (both classic and new), Blues, 70’s Funk, a little Latin and Jazz. • I have stage experience ranging from small private parties to large outdoor arenas. • I would be committed to the right project (not adding it to multiple projects). • I can learn the music quickly on my own, I show up to rehearsal knowing my parts, ready to rehearse. I believe practice is what you do on your own and rehearsal is what you do with the band. Most importantly I can learn songs quickly, I will know the breaks, know the tempo. • I have my own gear and transportation. • I have a professional attitude and understand that being in a band needs to be approached as a business, but it still needs to be fun. I am a team player and am willing to do my part to promote that band. • I do drink socially but know when not to drink, I am not a smoker and I don’t do drugs. • I can take constructive criticism, but like any other musician I don’t care to be told how to play my instrument. • I keep my opinions on subjects other than music to myself. • I am not a beater and banger, I understand dynamics. I play my instrument finessing the drums, not beating on them and smashing the cymbals. • I can do harmonies and can also sing lead vocals. I have decent range but lean more to the tenor vocals. I’ve got more than 30 songs that I have done lead vocals on. Both rock and country. • I am available immediately and am open to travel (tour) and can work weeknight gigs. • I live in the west valley but will drive to wherever rehearsal is if the project is worth it. I am married and my wife is very supportive. • I am punctual when it comes to time management. I always like to be to a gig location ahead of the rest of the band to get the bulk of my gear set up and be out of the way when the rest of the band starts set up. That way it's one less body on stage moving equipment around in the middle of everything. • I do have MP3’s of my vocals I’d rather find a gigging band or one that is very close to gigging.
