The current vacancies are in the General Services Department. The current vacancies may require the incumbents to work in a jail and/or 24-hour locked facility. Note: the current vacancies include one full-time and one Extra-Help CSR 905 (temporary). ABOUT THE POSITION: Under general supervision, the incumbent performs a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance and repair tasks; and performs related duties as required. The incumbents will manage multiple County buildings and assist, as needed, on other buildings. Primary responsibilities include, surveying the Counties various facilities to identify safety issues or repair needs, overseeing trade vendor work on County facilities and performing preventative maintenance and repair work. Works with trade vendors to gather work estimates and to oversee their facility maintenance and renovations. Assists program staff with office configurations and office relocations. Utilizes Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Visio for project descriptions, project management and planning purposes. EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS 1. One year of experience at a journey level in a building trade such as carpentry, painting, masonry, electrical, plumbing; OR, 2. A combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the employment standard listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
