THE WORLD’S BEST CHEESES is one of America’s leading importers. We have been family owned and operated for nearly 40 years. We distribute over 4,000 gourmet items to over 2,500 specialty stores. Our HQ is in Armonk, NY. From that location our fleet of 25 trucks deliver from Maine to Virginia. We also have a warehouse in Alameda, CA servicing the West Coast. Over the last 10 years our business has tripled in volume. We offer a number of unique services. We represent some of THE BEST CHEESE makers in the WORLD. We have an import AIR PROGRAM that supplies great fresh products to the top retailers and restaurants in the country. We take the name of our company very seriously. It is essential that the product we are shipping out to our customers are always in great condition. With so many of our costs rising each day, it is also essential that our levels of product spoilage be kept to an absolute minimum. As Quality Control Supervisor, you will work closely with our Warehouse Team, as well as our Purchasing and Sales departments to keep everything running smoothly. Typical Duties include: -Perform regular spot checks of our warehouse for short coded product -Supervise receiving and restocking of product each day -Oversee product returns, and prevent future issues -Conduct weekly cycle counts -Inspect outgoing orders for accuracy and quality -Log new UPC codes into our scanner system -Conduct any necessary vendor recalls -Assist with packing of delicate fedex orders This is not a desk job. You will be on your feet working in our coolers for the majority of the day. Accuracy and attention to detail is critical for the position. Benefits: Paid time off benefits start after 60 days. They include vacation (after 6 months), personal days, and major holidays. Medical benefits (Oxford) eligibility starts after 90 days of employment (80% Paid Medical by employer). 401K with 4% match is provided after full calendar year of employment. Wages: $20.00/HR with overtime pay after 40 hours. Hours: Monday-Thursday- 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-4:00pm Additional overtime opportunities are available on Saturday and Sunday Please Note: Due to the fact that we are an organization with over 100 employees, in order to comply with recently announced upcoming mandates, we are currently only considering employees with at least one vaccine dose if not legally exempt. Our office is also not located near reliable public transportation, so having daily access to a car is essential.
