Description
Blues and blues rock band in the forming stages seeking our bass player. Our setlist is built around blues standards, rock covers, and a handful of originals. Muddy, BB, Robert Johnson, Wolf, Hooker, T-Bone, as well as Zeppelin, Aerosmith, SRV, and the like. A few oddball songs as well. Trying to zig with our setlist while the million other indistinguishable cover bands around here all zag.
We are three experienced musicians (vox/guitar x 2 and drummer) in our 40's whose previous projects died during the pandemic and are aiming to come back with out best stuff yet. Our first few practices had an electricity to them that excited us, so we're eager to add a bass to round out the sound and see where we can get.
Fit will be important. We want someone who loves playing music as much as we do, so we can have an absolute blast all around playing together. If you're reliable, responsible, chill, drama-free, and want to play the hell out of some bass, we'd love to hear from you. We'd love it if you knew basic blues structures and basslines, and were curious to keep learning about theory and history, but aren't overly fixated on skill.
We practice Tuesday evenings in Audubon. The hope is to come together as a four-piece pretty quickly and start booking shows sooner rather than later.
Thanks for reading.
