Hello! I'm 38 years old, and been playing music since the 6th grade, chiefly drums and percussion. Not interested in playing metal or country, but open to all other genres, and really enjoy improvising. Playing in front of a live audience- big or small- is one of my favorite things. Original material is more exciting than cover songs are, and preference leans toward instrumental music over lyrical music. I have pro gear with reliable transportation- Whitney Drums Penguin XT-5 (Koa) with many percussion accessories. Some of my influences: Peter Gabriel, The Grateful Dead, MMW, John Scofield, Joe Russo, String Cheese Incident, EOTO, Deep Chills, SOJA, Enya, Jimmy Cliff, Noble Oak, Rodney Hunter, Shpongle, Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, Talking Heads, Mike Hosty, Lord Huron, The Smiths, Roy Orbison, Taj Mahal, The Police, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Galactic, Cantoma, Groove Armada, Ten Fé, Poolside, Glassio, David Grisman, Thievery Corporation, The War on Drugs, Air, Bruce Springsteen, Goldroom, Blue Sky Black Death, St. Lucia, Leo Kottke, Evan Voytas, Neil Young, DJ Logic, Yonder Mountain String Band, Steely Dan, Christafari, Classixx, YOUR SONG IS GOOD, The Band, Slow Magic, Work Drugs, Youth Lagoon, Phantogram, Hawaiian music and church hymns.
