Description

The City of Mercer Island is hiring for a full-time Electrical Inspector! This position will serve as the Electrical Inspector for a wide range of electrical construction on residential and commercial projects. The Electrical Inspector is responsible for plan review and inspections for compliance with the National Electrical Code and the Washington Cities Electrical Code as well as other State laws and City of Mercer Island ordinances and policies as indicated in the approved construction documents. This involves reviewing and approving construction documents prior to permit issuance and reviewing approved documents while performing electrical inspections, proper interpretation, and application of adopted codes.
