Description
Established commercial general contractor in Denver, CO has immediate openings for construction laborers. The individual in this position is responsible for cleaning and preparing commercial construction sites in Colorado. Unloads and loads materials, tends machines, and assists carpenters, equipment operators, and other construction site workers. Employees may be a demolition laborer; including salvaging all material, loading, cleaning up assigned by the leadman or foreman. Assists in building structures and around the construction site. Cleans work areas and restocks supplies and materials as necessary. May assist in rigging material and equipment to me moved or unloaded/loaded. May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and workpieces during installation. May perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment. May perform demolition of concrete and equipment. May direct trucks and traffic around the jobsite. May install handrail both temporary and permanent. May strip formwork after the concrete is placed. May clean coolers and distribute water to work areas around the jobsite. May work as a tool room attendant distributing tools or providing minor repairs. Performs other routine duties as directed by experienced craft person. Additional industry specific and safety training will be provided as needed. Work in excess of a 40-hour work week may be necessary. Must have access to reliable transportation. This position description is subject to change any time, with or without notice. Develops a working relationship with the project Safety Specialist. Maintain neat, orderly work areas that protect other employees and the public. Use proper ergonomics while completing work tasks. Insure all tools are in proper working order and being used according to manufacturer's recommendations and safety standards.
