Construction workers play a key role on our team and contribute to the overall success of our team. The ideal candidate for this position has a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the construction industry.  Skills would include the basic knowledge of hand tools, trained in proper use of chop/chain saw operations, pipe laying, and the ability to assist carpentry / concrete/ piling crews. Role & Responsibilities: -Performs a variety of tasks involving physical labor on highway and heavy construction projects. -Lifts heavy objects (no more than 50 lbs.) and may stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in awkward positions. Must ask for assistance when lifting over 50 lbs. May also work at great heights or in deep excavated holes.   -Maintains a clean job site: pick-up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards. -Load and unload building materials to the appropriate location. -Assists other craft workers, such as equipment operators, cement finishers, pipe layers as needed. -Install traffic barricades, cones and markers as directed.   -Operates a variety of hand tools such as hammers, picks, rakes and shovels and also power tools such as, jackhammers, torches, skill saws, pipe cutters, concrete mixer, water pumps, etc.   -Must be familiar with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hazard Communication Program and OSHA safety rules and regulations.   -Dig trenches, mix and place concrete, and set braces to support the sides of excavations. Qualifications: -Must be at least 18 years old -Must have steel toe work boots -Pass applicable pre-employment screenings (including but not limited to drug test & physical) -Possess a valid driver’s license -Possess a valid TWIC card -Must have reliable transportation -Must have the physical ability to complete strenuous tasks -Have the ability to work in all weather -Must be punctual and reliable
