Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service. We are looking for a... Volunteer Caller: A volunteer is needed to call Meals on Wheels participants for their weekly order on Thursday mornings, 9:30 am – 11:30 am. Volunteer Packer: A volunteer is needed to help pack meal orders Thursday mornings, 9:30am – 11am. As a packer, you will bag the meals delivered to homebound seniors. When a delivery goes well – drivers leave with the right bags to deliver and clients receive the meals they ordered – and it’s you we can thank. Qualifications: Good communication and people skills, reliable, good cheer, and a commitment to the well-being of homebound elders. This is an on-going volunteer commitment and we are looking for someone that is available longer term. Requirements: Complete an application, consent to a background check, be able to lift 15lbs, be at least 21 years of age, and have a Washington state driver's license and insurance.
