Sweet, 8 yr old, black and white male Shih Tzu needs a new home. He is very kind, sensitive, and intelligent. The only reason I am rehoming him is because my children aren’t caring for him as he deserves and he barks when it rains — if he is in his crate. He is crate trained/ potty trained. However, he will need retraining in a new environment, if you need help with this I will be glad to tell you how to do it. He does not bark during the rain if he is out of his crate but will pace around panting, if he is very afraid he will poop, that’s why I leave him in his crate during storms. I’ve tried everything over the years to get him to stop barking when it rains including supersonic dog whistles. The last thing I was going to try was a shock collar. In the last two images, he is depressed because his companion had recently died. It was the first time I had ever seen him hide his face in this way.
