Our company is a residential services expert with properties throughout New Jersey. We are seeking an experienced Superintendent with boiler license(s) trained in plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling system management and have managed vendor relationships in support of maintaining these systems. This opportunity is not a live position. The Superintendent will be responsible for common area and apartment repairs for minor plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry. The Superintendent will manage a team of cleaning professionals responsible for all aspects of the property’s maintenance, including the physical grounds, ensuring curb appeal through interior and exterior building inspections, grounds maintenance, and preventive maintenance. Customer service is a priority, and attention to detail is critical to ensure the satisfaction of the community’s residents. This is a hands on, working Superintendent position. The perfect candidate must be able to effectively lead a team and communicate with property management, vendors and residents in a professional manner. Job Responsibilities include efficiently reviewing, clarifying and completing all daily work orders within 24 hours and communicating any delays in completing a work order with the management office and resident. It is expected that the Superintendent responds to after-hours emergencies. Knowledge of all applicable building codes and safety standards required. Must be professional, courteous, and friendly and have verbal communication skills that meet the demands of property management, residents and vendors. At least 5 years previous Maintenance, HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical experience is REQUIRED. All licenses must be presented at time of interview.
