Description
Jesse Ross, leading a conversation with white women; creating personal accountability and growth to bring about real change in Denver. Join us for an evening with Jesse Ross, as he delivers his successful "Anti-Racism Conversations with White Women" message, live in-person to Denver women. Jesse Ross is a national leader in Diversity & Inclusion, an Executive Coach, International Professional Speaker, and offers Personal & Professional Development in the anti-racism space. Are you looking to have small group conversations with like-minded individuals who are willing to dive into white privilege, anti-racism work, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion topics that don’t just stop at reading a book? Learn about setting personal goals in your own anti-racism sphere. Doors open at 515p and content will begin at 530p. Masks are required for the duration of the event. Adults only please. Come early to grab a bite to eat at one of the many excellent food options at The Stanley. Water refill station is available on site, so bring a water bottle. Admission donations will be used to support airfare to Denver and one or two special projects for systems change that Mr. Ross is coordinating. Systems change is about addressing the root causes of social problems, which are often intractable and embedded in networks of cause and effect. New processes, designed to transform the system’s fundamental behaviors, can allow new sustainable patterns to emerge. 1. The Thanksgiving Grocery store day of gratitude: one of Jesse's upcoming projects is to take over a couple of grocery store checkout lanes in mid November and surprise shoppers to help provide for their Thanksgiving meal. 2. MN Tab (Registration) Renewal Fund In an effort to combat police brutality toward BIPOC individuals, Still Kickin and local Minnesota community members have created the Minnesota Tab Renewal Fund Project. As in the fatal interaction between Daunte Wright and the Brooklyn Center Police Department, officers may use expired tags and other minor infractions as a reason to conduct traffic stops. Providing resources to community members will prevent unnecessary interaction between police and the community and is a step toward ending pointless deaths of Black and Brown people.
