Employment Trends and Overall Health of the UAS Career Field To date, it is at the highest it has been since Dr. Terwilliger started recording numbers (from 2019-2021): $3.2B market value for unmanned systems employment and $728.13M for UAS-related jobs. Despite the economic challenges caused by COVID, it has created new opportunities aligned to the strengths of this field, including the introduction (and popularization) of remote work from home options.
