Description

Join the Quilter's Connection for a introductory quilting project using the technique of strip piecing to make a hot pad. Join the Quilter's Connection (QC), Watertown’s quilt guild, for their series "Connecting Threads: Traditional Quilting to Modern Mayhem." Using the technique of strip piecing to make a hot pad for use under your favorite hot food or beverage. We will use different widths of fabric to create the top of the pad, with a layer of batting between that and the backing. This workshop is for participants age 12 and older. The Quilters’ Connection (QC), is bringing an exciting fall to the Watertown Free Library including quilting classes at HATCH, a lecture on November 16, and an exhibit and sale of QC members’ quilts at the library during the month of November. The Watertown Free Public Library extends beyond its walls to connect people to ideas, information, education, creative opportunities, and to each other. While preserving the rich history of Watertown, the Watertown Free Public Library embraces the advancement of library service, inspires personal development, and promotes community. The library provides free recreation, entertainment, and enrichment. It welcomes and serves everyone.
