This workshop is an introduction to a simple printmaking technique called block printing (sort of like a stamp, only way cooler). We'll be using the Hatch laser cutter to create printing blocks and a 3D printed press to print those blocks onto paper. You'll be able to create your own artwork using markers, pens, etc. and see it transformed into a series of 2"x2" prints.
Block printing has been around for thousands of years and can be a very labor intensive process but with modern tools and technology you can learn to make a print in a snap.
This workshop is for participants age 12 and older.
