Learn more about how to make your neighborhoods stronger! We are super excited to feature a fellow 07 resident as our first lecturer. Learn what it takes to be a successful non-profit. We also welcome those who run a 501(c)3 or are interested in creating one. Dennis E. McFadden has been a resident of the 07 in Fort Wayne for ten years. Prior to retirement, he lived in Southern California where he held positions in ministry and, for nearly two decades, as the President/CEO of a large Southern California retirement community with 400 residents, 200 employees, and a $22 million/yr. budget. During his tenure, he led the organization in a $45 million expansion utilizing municipal bonds. Dennis holds three degrees in theology and ministry, a masters degree in organizational management, and a certificate (UCLA) for a one-year course in fundraising and the institutional development process. In addition to his 20/hr week role at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, he serves on the boards and advisory boards of several non-profit organizations in Fort Wayne.
