AMERICAN BITES invites the local tango community to dance Free!
NEW! Beginner Tango Class, from 6pm to 7pm, every Tuesday, FREE. Instructor Era Osibe has been dancing tango more than two dozen years and in more thant two dozen countries. Starts October 5. No rez needed, no partner needed. Come try it.
NEW also: Starting Oct. 5, we will be dancing inside the restaurant with doors open front and back—this due to a permit issue for the time being. We can still sit and eat on the outside deck.
Bohemia San Francisco meets the Glamour of Argentine Tango: AMERICAN BITES invites the local tango community to dance on its tiled floor, a San Francisco Landmark, every Tuesday. Formerly the Old Spaghetti Factory scuffed by Beats, Beatniks, and Bohemians. Awesome sound system and great DJs—rotating basis. Entry, free. If you drive, parking not bad on Tuesdays. Also: Enclosed Parking at 766 Vallejo St. Garage, $3/hour 6pm on. Should you bring an appetite the restaurant serves delicious fare with a great wine list and full bar. American Bites is connected to Makaydeh a Persian restaurant, same owner, same great quality. Order from either menu. Non-tango dancers welcome to watch, dine, ask the secrets of tango.

Getting ready for the big night with Tango Brumoso, live music, last night. The restaurant was full of dancers and diners and lots of joyful leaping.
