Rehoming of Lab/Pyrenees mix

Description

Hank is a an almost year old sweet ol’ boy that loves to play outside, and sniff at everything that comes his way. While he has a sweet disposition, he does tend to lean towards the cautious side towards strangers, but eventually opens up to them in his own time. He does great on recall inside of the home, however once outside he seems to forget he ever had a name! So a fenced in yard or patience while working on recall with distractions will be key. He loves to play fetch, and will bring it back to you upon request (until he gets bored!). As a lab/Pyrenees mix, he does have a bit of prey drive (loves to bird watch) but has not been tested with livestock (i.e. chickens, ducks, etc.) Although I am not an avid hunter, I get the impression that Hank might take to water fowl hunting with the proper guidance. Hank will come with a crate, leash, collar, and dog bowl set to help him with his new family. He is growing into a good dog, and we hate to rehome him, however he just does not mix with our 8 year old frenchie. Hanks attributes in a nutshell: Pros: Warm, snuggly, loves to play, willing to walk any distance you want to go (for miles and miles), overall quiet demeanor, potty trained, crate trained, indoor recall excellent, working on fetch duration, no aggression towards others (just aloof- a Pyrenees trait). Does well walking through Lowes, Petsmart, etc. Loves riding in the truck, and lays in the floor (overcame severe anxiety when we first adopted him, when he would scream the entire journey- you’re welcome!) Overall good with children, just needs continued work on jumping and the “zoomies”. He has his vaccinations and is neutered. Cons: Outdoor recall continues to be a work in progress, still tends to pull on leash (then will lay down if you don’t go in the direction he wants), excited jumper (although improving, still a puppy), and a rough player (small dogs tend to not be able to keep up, so should be homed as only dog or with other larger breeds- again, not aggressive, just playful). We just can no longer keep him mixed with our 8 year old frenchie to both of their detriments.
