Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training ASIST is an in-depth two-day face-to-face workshop featuring powerful audio-visuals, discussions, and simulations. ASIST is the result of more than 25 years of research and development and is the most widely used suicide intervention program in the world. This is a two-day, 15-hour, interactive workshop. Learn how to recognize opportunities to help, assess risk of suicide, apply a suicide intervetion model, and pracitce skills. By signing up, you are acknowleding that you understand you must be present for both days. Paula has been employed as a Prevention Specialist with Lifeways since July of 2016, where her focus is on Mental Health Promotion and Prevention. She became certified to teach Mental Health First Aid in June of 2017 and is certified to teach both Youth and Adult curriculum. Paula has a passion for the work she does because she says, “it touches my heart on a personal level as well as professionally. I believe everyone can benefit from this class and am very fortunate to have the opportunity to help destigmatize mental health issues by providing Mental Health First Aid Training in our community.”
