Description

Join clinicians from CareNet Counseling East (CNCE) for a morning of training, skill development, and healing as they "Help the Helpers." It can be incredibly challenging to juggle all the responsibilities and demands of leading a faith community, organization, or non-profit when things are going well. Serving in a time of cultural and political unrest offers its own set of difficulties, especially when one is in the midst of a pandemic - and is weary. The team at CNCE is offering you an opportunity to "catch your breath," all while you gain new skills and understanding about what we are all experiencing as we try to lead during this ever-changing and challenging time. The agenda includes learning about the brain, secondary trauma, as well as resilience and burnout. Skills will be developed for assisting with greater self-awareness, anxiety, and stress; and, resources will be provided to assist with current mental health issues. The morning will conclude with a panel discussion and special blessing. Masks are required and the venue will be set up for social distancing. Refreshments will be available, and the event offers a great setting for networking. Additional resources and materials will be made available after the workshop for participants (and those who can't make it that morning). This is an opportunity you will not want to miss. This event has been made possible by a generous donation from Garris Evans Lumber Company, Greenville, NC.
