Press release from the County of Dane: October 22, 2021 At 8:17 pm on Thursday, October 21, a Dane County Sheriff's deputy called in shots fired at Festge County Park, on Scherbel Road in the town of Berry. The Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) is leading the investigation of this Officer Involved Shooting. At this time, the Dane County Sheriff's Office is continuing to process the scene at Festge County Park in conjunction with DCI. In addition, deputies are responding to any tips and/or concerns from residents in this area. Anyone with information is asked to call the non-emergency number of the Dane County Communications Center, at 608-255-2345. All future updates on this investigation will be provided by DCI.
