Press release from Newtown South High School Parent Teacher Student Organization: Julia Hamilton October 25, 2021 Last week the Newton South math team had its first meet in the Greater Boston Math League (GBML). All team members did very well in both the individual and team rounds. It was a great start of the season. The next meet is in November. November will be quite busy for the team. Aside from GBML students will participate in the Duke Math Meet on November 6 and in the Harvard-MIT Math Tournament on November 13. AMC 10/12 is also moved to November with exam dates of 11/10 and 11/16. Good luck to all the participants! A group of Newton South students is running a math club at Oak Hill. The club has regular weekly practices and will participate in Mathcounts and a few other math tournaments.
