Bijan Ghaisar Case: Park Police Officers' Charges Dismissed: Charges in Alexandria federal court were dismissed last week against U.S. Park Police officers Lucas Vinyard and Alejandro Amaya in the fatal shooting of McLean accountant Bjian Ghaisar in Fort Hunt. An opinion by a federal judge said the officers' decision to discharge their weapons was "necessary and proper." 3. Cornerstones Rallies NoVA To Support Annual Gifts For Kids Drive: Cornerstones, a social services nonprofit based in Reston, is encouraging Northern Virginia residents to support for its annual Gifts for Kids Drive. 4. Reston Farmers Market Going Strong With 'Normalcy' Restored: After opening right on schedule in early May, the 24th season of the Reston Farmers Market has had a successful run so far, with the final market scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 4. 5.
