Description
Established boat repair facility on the Lake Union seeking experienced Marine Mechanic to join our family oriented team.
Qualifications:
- Experienced with servicing Volvo Penta, Mercruiser engines and out drives
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of diesel engines, such as Cummins, Volvo, Yanmar and Detroit
- Basic to intermediate electrical troubleshooting and installation experience with components such as bilge pumps
- Basic plumbing troubleshooting/diagnostic experience preferred
- Physically able to climb ladders, consistently lift 10-20 lbs., occasionally lift 50 lbs., kneel, stand, squat and work in small spaces
- Must have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic with attention to detail
- Clearly communicate to service writer
- Work at least 40 hours per week, some overtime may be required at times
- Able to operate a forklift with supervision
Responsibilities:
- Service gas and diesel engines
- Service out drives
- Replace batteries
- Replace raw water pump impellers
- Replace anodes
- Perform basic electrical and plumbing repairs
- Assist with drive train components, such as cutlass bearing, prop removal and other
- Other duties as needed within pay level
Additional information:
Hours of operation are M-F 8am - 5pm, with the occasional need for over time
